Position Description
Welds metal components together with robotic welding equipment by performing the following duties.
Job Responsibilities
Operates robot weld machine to weld metal parts together. May also perform the duties of a MIG Welder. Advanced duties include programming of the robot, maintenance, and fixture recommendations.
Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products using various weld fixtures.
Evaluates and inspects finished parts for quality and accuracy. Makes fixture changes when necessary.
Performs related tasks such as drilling, and grinding.
Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts.
Completes all work to required print specifications and quality standards.
Maintains work area according to 5S standards and completes all required paperwork correctly.
Job Skills Requirements
Basic reading, writing and math skills. Working knowledge of blueprint reading preferred.
Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility.
